Colorado Springs is a fairly small town. Downtown is vibrant and bustling at all times of year. In the summer folks sit outside of coffee shops and restaurants. See our post of some local restaurants.
From the Cheyenne Mountain Resort it is about 4 miles to downtown. A cab ride costs around $12 and you can call Yellow Cabs at 719-777-7777 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 719-777-7777 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
I love downtown Colorado Springs, Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs as they all have lots of shops and restaurants and pubs and they are designed for people to just park up and walk around!!
